For the first time, our team went to the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv to clean up several forgotten graves from the end of the 19th century.
The first thing we saw was a thick layer of leaves, moss and weeds, under which almost no inscriptions were visible. First, we cleaned the area around the graves, then carefully, without aggressive chemicals, we cleaned the monuments from plaque.
On one of the tombstones, an inscription in Polish appeared. We photographed it before and after, and added text to the grave page so that relatives or researchers could find the burial.
Thank you to everyone who joined the collection. A photo report with thanks to benefactors is already available on the pages of cleaned graves.
